I just wanted to explain a little about the way I plan my sketches.
IT’S OK TO START ROUGH
The sketch/painting doesn’t have to look amazingly awesome the second your pencil/brush touches the paper. That puts a lot of pressure on us itself and may hamper creativity.
For example: Here, I knew I wanted to create an Elie Saab themed artwork, After choosing those pretty gowns, I took my rough sketching paper and just started with RANDOM BRUSHSTROKES. Doing this with no goal in mind just to see how the artwork will flow.
HOW will the 3 girls FIT together?
WHAT colors go well together?
These questions are more important than, how will the finished artwork look?
JUST A LITTLE PLANNING GOES A LONG WAY.
You can take your time and keep refining the final artwork and you’ll love it!
Hope this helps a little. Let me know. Don’t hesitate to say hello.
